Board Liaison
The Board Liaison serves as the primary strategic and operational connection between the Executive Office, the Board of Directors, Executive Officers, and key leadership stakeholders. This role ensures seamless communication, exceptional board engagement, and high-level executive support while advancing organizational priorities and strengthening leadership effectiveness. This position is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Regular in-office presence is expected. The hiring range for this position is $65,000-$70,000. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as the primary liaison between the Board of Directors, Executive Officers, and the Executive Office. Design and manage a comprehensive annual Board engagement plan, including onboarding, orientation, training, and ongoing communications. Lead planning and content development for Board meetings, Executive Committee meetings, and Executive Officer meetings. Provide scheduling, calendar coordination, and travel support for Executive Officers Maintain the development of Board and Executive Officer digital portals and communication systems. Support District Director engagement and leadership transitions. Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to align Executive Office operations and strategic priorities. Manage executive logistics and VIP support for major conferences and events. Support leadership transitions with Executive Committee, including supporting presidential initiatives as needed. Lead strategic projects and special initiatives assigned and directed by the Chief of Staff. Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting senior executives, boards of directors, elected officials, or executive leadership teams. Experience working with a Board of Directors strongly preferred. Experience in nonprofit, association management, government, or public sector environments preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills. Strong executive presence and ability to engage effectively with elected officials, board members, and senior leaders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism. Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail. High level of judgment in handling confidential and sensitive matters. Strong writing, editing, and presentation development skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and member management systems. WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS Travel: Occasional travel operating a motor vehicle to member locations.
