Now Hiring: Maintenance and Refrigeration Supervisor The Maintenance and Refrigeration responsibilities include overseeing refrigeration (ammonia), utilities, and maintenance operations to support a high-volume fresh salad processing facility. This role ensures safe, efficient, and compliant operation of critical systems, provides daily team leadership and technical troubleshooting, and coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Pay Range: $85,000 - $120,000 yearly (DOE) Shift: Inquire about shift availability Essential Duties and Responsibilities: -Supervise and lead refrigeration technicians, maintenance mechanics, cogeneration operators, and support staff across all shifts. -Provide daily passdowns, assign and prioritize work orders, and ensure clear communication and coverage. -Oversee operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ammonia refrigeration systems and facility utilities, including cogeneration, boilers, air compressors, and water systems. -Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and uptime. -Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and support repairs, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives. -Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, IIAR, GMP, PPE, HACCP, and PSM/RMP requirements. -Lead safety audits, enforce LOTO procedures, and respond to refrigeration alarms and emergency situations. -Maintain accurate CMMS records, PSM/RMP documentation, inspection logs, and regulatory data. -Collaborate with planners, vendors, and contractors to ensure labor, materials, tools, and services are available as needed. -Support facilities maintenance, equipment moves, and internal or external inspections and audits. -Train, coach, and develop technicians, including ammonia safety and emergency response training. -Reallocate resources as needed to meet production, safety, and utility priorities. Job Requirements: -High school diploma or GED. -10+ years of maintenance or refrigeration experience (ammonia preferred). -Experience supervising technical teams. -Experience with utilities: cogen, boilers, compressed air, water. -Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work in cold environments. -Ability to work overtime and respond to call-ins. -RETA certification preferred.
