About Option AlphaOption Alpha is an options trading platform that empowers retail traders to build,backtest, and deploy automated trading strategies without writing code. We integrate directlywith major brokerages, process real-time market data, and execute trades on behalf ofthousands of active subscribers. Our platform is growing rapidly and we are expanding our teamto support futures trading, new brokerage integrations, and next-generation trading tools.RoleWe are looking for a senior engineer to take a leading role in developing the next generation of our trading platform. You will own significant features end-to-end, help us expand the team with additional developers, and help define technical direction as we scale our brokerage integrations, automation engine, and real-time data infrastructure.Must be located in the Tampa Bay area and comfortable working out of our downtown St Petersburg office most days. ResponsibilitiesImplement new brokerage integrations (OAuth flows, order execution, account management, real-time position syncing) across multiple broker APIsLead the development of our futures trading engine, extending the platform beyond options and equitiesBuild and maintain backend services in Node.js using our custom framework, Sequelize, PostgreSQL, and RedisDevelop and enhance front-end features using JSX components, CSS, and our vanilla JS UI frameworkDesign and optimize real-time data pipelines for market data, options chains, and trade execution queuesImprove system reliability, observability, and performance across our microservices architectureCollaborate closely with product and trading domain experts to translate complex tradinglogic into clean, maintainable codeContribute to infrastructure and deployment processes on AWSQualifications4+ years of professional software development experience with JavaScript and Node.js Strong proficiency with SQL (we use PostgreSQL)Deep experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, OAuth integrations, and webhook-driven architecturesProven ability to architect distributed systems and microservices in production environmentsSolid front-end skills with component-based UI development (JSX/React paradigm)Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, or similar)A genuine interest in options trading, financial markets, or automated/algorithmic tradingWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package Downtown St Petersburg office with a collaborative, small-team environmentDirect impact on product direction and architecture decisionsWork at the intersection of finance, automation, and technologyA team that is passionate about trading, technology, and building tools that empowerretail investorsUnderstanding of options trading and financial markets is highly desirable.
