Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Support students with special needs in a dynamic school environment in Norwalk, CT, as a bilingual special education professional. This contract position offers flexible scheduling options ranging from part-time to full-time, supporting existing caseloads of approximately 50 K-12 students.Key Responsibilities:Provide support and intervention for students with diverse special education needs.Assist special education teachers and school psychologists in managing caseloads.Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Utilize bilingual skills to enhance communication and understanding with students and families.Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district policies.Qualifications:Connecticut Educator Certificate with a Comprehensive Special Education endorsement issued by the Connecticut State Department of Education, orConnecticut Educator Certificate with a School Psychologist endorsement (#070) under the special services category.Bilingual proficiency is required.Experience working within special education settings supporting K-12 students.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Job Details:Start Date: January 21, 2026End Date: June 17, 2026Hours per Week: 6.5 to 32.5 hoursDays per Week: 1 to 5 days (flexible scheduling)Location: Norwalk, CTBenefits Include:Competitive compensation at $45 to $50 per hour.Weekly pay.Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Matching 401(k) retirement plan.Flexible spending account options.This position provides critical support to enhance educational outcomes for students with special needs.
