Sr Accounting Manager - Technical Accounting & Reporting

Sr. Accounting Manager Lanteris Space Systems is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accounting Manager to support technical accounting, financial reporting, and SOX compliance in a fast-paced environment. This role is based either in Palo Alto, CA or can also be performed remotely. Preference will be given to remote candidates in the CST zone. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional with strong U.S. GAAP expertise, public company experience, and advanced SAP knowledge, who thrives in complex, high-accountability environments.Key Responsibilities Own and prepare technical accounting memos for complex and non-routine transactions (revenue recognition, leases, accruals, inventory, etc.)Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAPLead and support month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysisSupport and maintain SOX compliance and internal control framework, including documentation and testingPartner with external auditors on accounting positions and audit deliverablesPerform variance analysis and provide clear financial insightsDrive process improvements and close efficiency initiativesSupport and optimize systems, including SAP, FloQast, and LeaseQueryManage a team of direct reportsMinimum Requirements: Must be a US Citizen or permanent residentBachelor's degree in AccountingCPA requiredMinimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experienceExperience in public accounting and/or publicly traded company environment, Big 4 strongly preferredExperience with U.S. GAAP and technical accounting researchExperience preparing technical accounting memos in a public or audit environmentExperience with SOX implementation, control design and testingExperience with financial reporting and month-end closePreferred Qualifications: Experience with FloQast and/or LeaseQueryAdvanced SAP experienceStrong technical accounting and documentation skillsHigh attention to detail and ownership mindsetAbility to work independentlyStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective communication with cross-functional teams and auditorsContinuous improvement mindsetIn support of pay transparency at Lanteris Space Systems, we disclose salary ranges on all U.S. job postings. The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $132,000.00 - $220,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within California is: $138,000.00 - $230,000.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, health and welfare insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
