Position Type:Support Staff/Instructional AssistantDate Posted:3/31/2026Location:Highland High SchoolDate Available:08/11/2026Closing Date:04/15/2026District:Ault-Highland Schools Weld RE-9 Additional Information: Show/HideOpen PositionThe Weld Re-9 School District headquartered in Ault, Colorado has an open position at Highland High School.Job Title: Paraprofessional Blending Learning Monitor FLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: High School Principal & Assistant Principal Days per Year: 180Job Location: Highland High School Hours per Week: 37.5Revision Date: March 31, 2026 Pay Range: Classified Salary Schedule - Teacher Aide/Health TechSummary: Paraprofessionals are responsible for working in a team environment in the High School assisting the instructors in providing educational experiences and support to students.Primary Responsibilities:Provide instructional assistance to studentsSupervise a classroom consisting of students in credit recovery and online/distant learning programsEnforce basic building policies in the classroomParticipate as a classified staff member within the buildingLearn and be able to troubleshoot and/or provide basic directions to students for a variety of online/distance learning programs and websitesResponsible for providing a safe educational environmentParticipant in implementing students' Individual Education Plans and behavior plansAny and all other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience working with high age students preferred, but not requiredExperience working with a variety of student populations preferred, but not requiredApplicant must demonstrate a great deal of patience and empathyCriminal background checkSalary and Benefits:Starting salary range is $16.25-$17.75 per hour as of the time of this posting depending on years of relevant experience. Salary schedules are updated in late spring each year.
