Ophthalmic Technician

Job Description We are seeking candidate for an Ophthalmic Technician position to become a part of our team! Experience is necessary.Responsibilities:Work up patients (take a medical history, check vision, eye pressures, etc.)OCT and VF testingAssist patients when necessaryAssist the doctors with procedures and entering exam information in EMRSend prescriptions electronically or manuallyCommunicate pertinent patient information to designated departmentsSend correspondence to referring physiciansSupply patient education.Qualifications:Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician, OCT and VF testingExperience in performing FP/FA is a plus.Ability to build rapport with patientsStrong organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work well with othersPatience with the elderly and those needing additional assistanceCompany DescriptionWe are a very busy and fast paced specialty clinic.Company DescriptionWe are a very busy and fast paced specialty clinic.
