Licensed Vocational Nurse
About this role Healthcare Staffing Professionals has an immediate need for a Licensed Vocational Nurse to work in Coalinga, CA. Under the direction of the DSH NA or designee, Contractor will provide services as permitted within the scope of practice for LVN, including but not limited to the following: Pay Rate : $40/hr Shift : 5-8 hour shifts Location : Coalinga, CA Job Duties : Organize, provide, and maintain necessary health care services consistent with DSH policies and procedures. Plan and implement nursing care. This includes administration of medication, therapeutic agents, treatments, disease prevention, physicians orders, as well as obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing. Participate as a member of the Inter-disciplinary team in developing multidisciplinary treatment efforts; complete assigned weekly summaries, formulate care plans, assist physicians with rounds; note and institute physician orders. Collect information regarding patient status and report the results to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) or RN in a timely manner. Assist mental health professionals by contributing to the treatment planning process and the formal evaluation of patient progress by monitoring and recording observed patient behavior. Document in the health record the nursing care and treatment provided and the patient response to facilitate the continuity of care and communicate to other health care providers. Ensure that staff utilizes optimum standards of patient care and that staff members observe safety and Infection Control Precautions and regulations at all times. Provide nursing care to patients in room seclusion, restraints or who are on an enhanced observation for danger to self, others or another reason as ordered by Psychiatry and/or Medical providers. Requirements : Minimum of twelve (12) months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in a public or private institution. Compliance with facility clinical competencies must be current and verified prior to the staff being assigned. Current/valid copy of valid license for LVN issued by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners. Current Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association certification for each staff referred.
