Job DetailsFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Rad Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Washington, District Of Columbia. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year's experience as Radiologic TechnologistCurrent Radiologic Technologist/ Radiography license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)Preferred Qualifications:* Current ARRT Certification* Other certifications and licenses may be required for this positionSummary:The Radiologic Technologist performs advanced imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images that aid physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. They ensure patient safety, maintain equipment functionality, and collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver accurate and effective diagnostic results.Essential Work Functions:Educate patients about imaging procedures and answer questions if they arisePrepare and operate advanced radiologic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images according to physician ordersMaintain equipment and sterilize the room in which procedure takes placeEvaluate images for quality, present images and preliminary findings to physicians and health care teamMaintain and inspect imaging equipment for proper functionality, troubleshooting issues and reporting malfunctions as neededDocument all imaging procedures and technical details accurately in patient recordsFollow hospital safety rules and procedures including infection control and radiation safety protocolsPerform other duties as assigned within the scope of Radiologic Technologist practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
