Lead Data Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Lead modernization efforts for an enterprise data flow team, shaping the evolution of mission data governance.• Provide Tier 1 operations support for customer data flow requests.• Specify data handling and usage requirements for new data flows, and define and harden data schemas.• Determine metadata tagging to support data interoperability and coordinate with data flow service providers.• Define processes, business rules, and functional requirements for mission systems that support effective data governance.• Integrate AI tools to develop schemas and modernize data governance processes.What You'll Need• 15+ years of experience working on contracts for the federal government.• Experience with data flow, Apache NiFi, or mission systems.• Experience defining and applying data tagging and handling requirements.• Experience analyzing and defining data schemas and data processing requirements.• Knowledge of data governance concepts, such as data provenance, classification, and data sharing.• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary ($99,000 - $225,000) plus potential for bonuses.• Comprehensive benefits package including health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits.• Opportunities for professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs.• A chance to work on critical cyber missions and shape the future of data governance in national security.Apply via Haystack today!
