Job Title:Metabolic Health Physician Advisor – Digital Health Location:Remote Engagement:Part-Time Advisory Board Member for Diabetes Prevention Startup Compensation:Sweat EquityAbout Fruit Street Health Fruit Street Health is a CDC-recognized diabetes prevention program designed to help patients with prediabetes prevent the progression to Type 2 diabetes through diet and lifestyle changes. The program is delivered via telehealth and live group Zoom sessions, led by registered dietitians, and offers a comprehensive, interactive approach to chronic disease prevention.Our Status as a Public Benefit Corporation Fruit Street Health is a public benefit corporation dedicated to making a social impact through diabetes prevention. Our mission is to reduce the burden of chronic disease by providing accessible, effective interventions that empower individuals to take control of their health.How the Diabetes Prevention Program Works 12-month program with 22 live, 1-hour group classes on Zoom Guidance on diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management from expert dietitians Wireless scale provided for real-time tracking of weight and activity Direct text communication between patients and dietitians Photo-based meal tracking with personalized feedback Medically tailored meals delivered to participants' homesWatch our program in action: Fruit Street Diabetes Prevention Program OverviewAbout the Role We are seeking metabolic medicine & family physicians to serve as advisory board members for Fruit Street Health. In this role, you will provide strategic guidance on the clinical direction and implementation of our diabetes prevention program, help shape best practices, and support the expansion of our program in local communities.As an advisory board member, you will: Advocate for the program within your local physician network and encourage referrals of prediabetic patients Advise on integrating the diabetes prevention program into family medicine practices to improve accessibility and patient outcomes Provide clinical insights to refine program guidelines and implementation strategies Engage with healthcare executives and insurers to support program adoption Network withemployers, commercial health plans, and state departmentshealth departments to promote Diabetes prevention program and expand access Attend major conferences such as the annual AAFP conference on behalf of Fruit Street with a travel stipend providedQualifications Board-certified family medicine physician (MD/DO) Experience in chronic disease prevention, public health, or population health is preferred Strong interest in digital health innovation and telemedicine Passion for preventative care and improving patient outcomesWhy Join Us?
