Job Details Location: Sheboygan, WI 53081 — Sheboygan, Wisconsin (local travel nursing opportunity) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/1/2026) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,890 – $1,990 Shift: 12-hour night shifts (36 hours per week) Setting: 24-bed Med/Surg unit (Med-Surg nurse role, acute care) Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend Holiday Coverage: May include up to 3 holidays during contract Scrub Color: Any solid, professional color Parking: Free on-site parking Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg RN experience (Med-Surg nurse, acute care experience) Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state) — travel nursing licensure accepted BLS certification required NIHSS certification preferred EPIC EMR experience preferred (clinical documentation, charting) Clinical skills: PIV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, chest tubes, stable trach management Experience caring for patients on BiPAP/CPAP and managing insulin and heparin drips Ability to float within scope of practice to MS1, Cardiac MS2, and ED Holding as needed Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care as a Med/Surg RN to a diverse inpatient population, including post-op orthopedics (total hip/knee, spinal surgeries) and general medical cases (CHF, COPD, respiratory, renal, hepatic, GI) Manage typical Med-Surg night ratios of 1:5 while maintaining safe, patient-centered care Perform and manage IV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, chest tubes, and trach care Administer and monitor insulin and heparin drips with appropriate titration and documentation Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, respiratory therapists, and hospitalists Document care accurately in EPIC EMR and use Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain best practices in acute care nursing Float to other units within scope as needed to support patient care and staffing needs Why join us: This travel nursing assignment offers competitive weekly pay, professional development in a technologically advanced hospital, and the chance to live in Sheboygan, WI — a scenic, lakeside city with a welcoming community.
