This role supports resident care by handling commercial laundry services, including linens and personal clothing in a healthcare environment. This position is ideal for candidates with experience in laundry services, housekeeping, environmental services (EVS), or healthcare support roles who enjoy structured morning shifts and meaningful work with older adults. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate commercial washers, dryers, and laundry equipmentSort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing and linensEnsure accurate return of personal items to residents and unitsInspect garments for stains, damage, or special care needsHandle laundry chemicals safely following facility proceduresMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of laundry work areasFollow infection control and safety standards in a healthcare settingReport equipment issues or maintenance needs promptlySupport housekeeping and campus operations as needed Required Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredExperience in laundry, housekeeping, EVS, or healthcare support preferredAbility to work in a fast-paced senior living or healthcare environmentStrong attention to detail and organization skillsAbility to follow safety procedures and resident care guidelinesTeam-oriented with strong communication skillsCompassionate approach to working with older adults Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequentlyFrequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motionAbility to push/pull carts and handle bulk laundry loadsMust be able to perform visual inspections and follow safety protocols Why Work at Hamilton GroveNonprofit senior living community focused on resident careConsistent weekday morning schedule (no evenings or weekends)Supportive healthcare and housekeeping team environmentOpportunity to work in a mission-driven organization serving older adults
