People Operations Co-Lead & Talent Architect

CrowddoingCalifornia, MOApril 10th, 2026
Overview Partner with us to build the "Human Operating System" for 4,000+ Global Changemakers. CrowdDoing is a massive, living experiment in systemic change. We are a distributed network of over 4,000 volunteers—data scientists, lawyers, artists, and engineers—across 30+ countries. We don't have employees; we have intrinsic motivation. We have a global digital footprint. We have the volume. What we need is the architecture. The Role Co-Lead, People Operations & Talent Architecture We are looking for a Co-Lead to step in as a true partner in our People Team. This is not a "support" role. You will share ownership of the strategy, the systems, and the culture that keeps this massive organism breathing and growing. Responsibilities As Co-Lead, you are here to design the machine. You will focus on two critical pillars, with the authority to rebuild them as you see fit: Priority 1: Operations & Infrastructure (Fixing the Plumbing) Design the "Service Learning" Loop: Professionals join us to grow. You will structure roles so that every volunteer leaves with more capacity than they arrived with—whether that's new skills in AI, leadership experience, or systems thinking. Operationalize Connection: Build rituals and feedback loops that turn "logging in" into a moment of genuine human connection, connecting remote volunteers across geographies. Priority 2: Strategic Recruitment (The Growth Engine) From "Resume" to "Ikigai": We have a database of 50,000+ applicants. We need a system (likely AI-assisted) that sorts them not by keywords, but by drivers. We need to match people to roles that fuel their intrinsic purpose, not just their LinkedIn profile. Executive Search for Impact: We have complex needs—from AI ethicists to regenerative agriculturalists. You will lead the strategy to headhunt these niche experts, pitching them on the vision of systemic change. Who You Are A Systems Thinker: You understand that an organization is a complex adaptive system. You are interested in Self-Management, Teal Organizations, or Biomimicry. A "Builder": You are tired of maintaining legacy systems in your day job. You want a sandbox where you can build the future of work from the ground up, testing theories that corporate environments are too risk-averse to try. Intrinsic Return This is an unpaid, volunteer Co-Lead position. Why would a leader like you do this? Executive Simulation: You are effectively co-running the People function for a 4,000-person global entity. It is a rare opportunity to prove you can manage massive scale and complexity. Radical Autonomy: There is no red tape here. If you have a better way to organize 4,000 people, we will build it. How to Apply: Join us as a partner in design. To apply, please share a brief note on your philosophy of "people systems" and what attracts you to the challenge of co-leading a distributed network. J-18808-Ljbffr
