Job DescriptionProject/Program: NYS Tax Modernization.This position will be in support of the LiFT Program. This program will encompass multiple projects for remediation of legacy applications within the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, which is responsible for billions in state revenue.Day-to-day TasksThe selected candidate will be responsible for all phases of the System Development Life Cycle for complex projects. The responsibilities will include both new development as well as maintenance tasks. Specific tasks will include:Guiding the technical design for modernization of legacy systems.Coordinating the technical solutions among various technical support groups.Making changes in multiple systems in real time to enable changes requested by user group.Implementing technical solutions.Developing tax processing system components and maintaining existing processing systems.Supporting production tasks including analysis of issue, proposing and implementing solutions for defect resolution.Coordinating with development team on development activities and integration testing.Developing technical design documents and program specifications.Guiding requirements gathering sessions.Guiding the analysis of requirements and system design work.Coding and performing unit and integration tests of programming assignments.Writing and tuning SQLSupporting user testing efforts.Performance tune new and existing applications.Mentoring less experienced staff.Mandatory QualificationsSoftware Developer–Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing and implementation of computer software.Expert84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.Requested Qualifications84 months of experience with .NET technologies including ASP.NET, MVC(Model View Controller), Blazor, and REST (Representational State Transformation) services.
