We have a full-time need for two Construction Operator II who will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. What You’ll Do
Performs day to day operations such as logging & performing a 360 walk around on equipment & vehicles, Operating, Trenching, Fusing, etc.
Operate heavy machinery and equipment including excavator.
Perform pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues.
Follow blueprints, schematics, and instructions to execute tasks with precision.
Assist in grading, digging, trenching, and other construction-related activities.
Coordinate with construction crews and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Monitor equipment performance and perform routine maintenance, such as lubrication and adjustments.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage.
Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements.
What You’ll Need
Class A CDL driver
Preferred experience in Directional Boring but not limited to.
Per Diem is only offered if the candidate is out of town. The company will provide lodging if applicable.
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in construction equipment operation is preferred.
Valid driver's license and appropriate certifications for operating heavy machinery.
Proven experience operating heavy machinery and equipment in a construction setting.
Strong understanding of construction practices and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Experience with specialized equipment such as cranes or pavers.
Familiarity with GPS and other advanced construction technologies.
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus.
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and operating machinery.
Ability to work in outdoor environments, including adverse weather conditions.
Construction site environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
Potential for irregular hours or overtime based on project needs.
