Job Description We have an opening in our Abingdon Branch for a Full-Time Teller.SummaryTellers are the face of the credit union and the member experience is at the core of who we are. Within the Har-co family, our tellers provide world-class member experiences each and every interaction. Every member is important to us, and as a teller you ensure that their experience meets their expectations. Providing these experiences means greeting all people who enter the lobby professionally while asking for their name and reason for their visit. Clarify member needs to ensure that they meet with the appropriate team member. As a teller, you will provide general account information and process transactions such as deposits and withdraws. You’ll keep up to date on all our current products and policies to effectively communicate with our members. Professionalism and teamwork are essential to this position as you will interact with various teams throughout the companyResponsibilitiesGreet members using member’s names, thank members, and smile while serving the members.Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, cashes checks and sells merchandise items.Refer products and services to members/nonmembers while providing information, guidance and building relationships. Required referral goals are met or exceeded.Confidently explains and support the policies and procedures of the credit union.Complete and balance a cash drawer with accuracy.Successfully perform the function of selling negotiables.Performs electronic opening and closing of their cash drawer.Secures cash drawer, teller stamps, and computer always.Assists in the daily balancing of the ATM.Participates in cross training and performing of member service functions.Ensure all areas of the lobby are neat and clean.Refill slots with teller slips and brochures.Unlock and lock doors on time for members during opening and closing of the branch.Sign for deliveries/mail and call employees to retrieve deliveries/mail.Keep reception area and lobby clean, organized and secured.Change and verify dates, turn on and off computer, television and lights.Maintain visitors log accurately and distribute/collect visitor’s badge.Ensure night deposit is stocked with supplies.Completes close of day requirements efficiently.Completes other duties as assigned.Availability to work at all 3 Har-co locations.QualificationsRequired:Customer Service ExperienceCash HandlingPreferred:Strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multi-functional tasksPay and Benefits: This is a full time in person position with a pay range of $15-$18 per hour with opportunities for overtime.
