Apply via Dice today!Role:- Ab Initio developerLocation:- Remote PositionJob Summary:We are seeking a passionate Data Integration Engineer to join our Strategic Platform Engineering team within Chief Technology Office to help bring speed and innovation in data ingestion, data preparation and analysis to solve some of pressing health care problems in our state. In this role you are responsible for engineering data integration solutions on our cloud data warehouses and data lakes while delivering agility and cost optimization. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative in problem-solving and flexible in learning new skills/technologies to contribute towards our company mission i.e. To improve the health and well-being of our customers and communities .You Will:Require an insatiable appetite for continuous learning and applying new technologies to solve business problems.Independently perform analysis, design and development of solution deliverables.Support the analysis, design and development of high volume, low latency data integration for mission critical systems delivering high-availability and performance to best meet customer needs.Write well designed, testable, efficient code/scripts/ETLs to support varied IT solutionsPerform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand business problems and opportunities and execute all assignments with limited supervision.Provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations to management when requested.Effectively communicate development and production issues to the project team, applicable vendors and/or the manager in a timely manner.Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices, with a focus on continuous learning and possible application to the business.You Will Have:Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or other STEM related major3+ years direct development experience in following :AWS Cloud experienceAt least one data integration/ETL/ELT technology (eg Qlik/Attunity Replicate, Qlik Compose, Streamsets, Nifi, Informatica, AbInitio, Talend or similar) ANDAny one data warehouse or data lake platform eg Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop ANDIntermediate skill in at least one development language (eg Python (preferred), Java).Good understanding of data warehouse (eg type-1 and type-2 data, star schema etc) and intermediate SQL programming and data analysis skills.If no degree, 5 years of the experiences listed above.If Master s degree in STEM or related major, 1 year of experience as listed above.Demonstrated experience working with large and complex data setsExperience collaborating effectively with vendors and business partners for solution.Hiring Preferences:Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on understanding overall business issues and determining innovative solutionsSelf-directed, highly organized and adaptable with the ability to effectively multi-task as needed.Resilient to change and be ready to disrupt to create positive change using new technologies.Driven by passion for contributing towards a larger purpose and leveraging the ever-evolving technologies as means to the end which is making healthcare better for all North Carolinians.Unix scripting experience.Be able to work in Agile or Waterfall model.Good understanding of DevOps with Jenkins, Github etc.Experience with a major relational database management system preferred (i.e. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).Cloud-based solution design and engineering, understanding of AWS Stack is a plus.Thanks & RegardsAsif EquabalSr. Account ManagerPeople Integra LLC (Formerly Business Integra Inc.)Ab Initio developer----Remote Position
