Sr. Cloud Software Engineer I

General Requirements : The Senior Cloud Software Engineer shall have at least the following experience: At least 8 years SW development/engineering, including requirements analysis, SW development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. At least 6 years developing SW with high level languages such as Java, C, C++. Must have demonstrated work experience with distributed scalable Big Data Store (No SQL) such as Hbase, Cloudbase/Acumulo, Big Table, etc. Must have demonstrated work experience in the design and development of at least one Object Oriented System. Must have experience developing and deploying data driven analytics; event driven analytics; sets of analytics orchestrated through rules engines. Must have5 years developing SW for Windows (2000, 2003, XP, Vista), UNIX or Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) OS. Must have demonstrated experience with Map Reduce programming model and technologies such as Hadoop, Pig, etc. Must have experience developing solutions integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products. Must have experience demonstrated technical writing skills; generated technical documents in support of a SW development project. Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification Experience developing and deploying: data driven analytics; event driven analytics; sets of analytics orchestrated through rules engines. analytics that function on massive data sets, for example, more than a billion rows or larger than 10 Petabytes, analytics that employ semantic relationships between structured and unstructured sets; analytics that employ techniques commonly associated with Artificial Intelligence Education Desired : Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) Position Details : Date : September 15, 2026 Client : DoD Location : Annapolis Junction, MD Category : Cloud Clearance : Full Scope Polygraph
