This role is integral to our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), ensuring students with diverse learning needs receive individualized support while fostering an inclusive environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to develop and implement effective interventions, monitor progress, and promote student success.Specific Duties and Responsibilities:Provide SDI in general education classrooms through co-teaching, push-in, and consultation models.Deliver SDI in a special education setting, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs.Use data-driven instructional strategies aligned with student IEP goals.Collaborate with general education teachers to implement Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions.Participate in data review meetings, progress monitoring, and intervention planning.Work closely with general education teachers, paraeducators, specialists, and related service providers.Provide training, guidance, and support for paraeducators working with students in various settings.Actively participate in grade level PLC meetings.Develops and delivers functional academic instruction.Assists students with physical needs, including personal care and mobility support.Implement positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) to foster student success.Help students develop self-regulation skills through structured routines, sensory supports, and proactive strategies.Address behavioral challenges using evidence-based interventions and collaborate with the behavior team when needed.Maintain regular communication with families regarding student progress, supports, and IEP implementation.Participate in IEP meetings, collaborate on goal setting, and ensure compliance with all special education requirements.Participate in school improvement and parent involvement activitiesPerform other such duties as assigned by the building administratorRequired Qualifications:Washington State Teacher Certification with appropriate endorsement.Experience working with students with disabilities in an inclusive and/or specialized setting.Knowledge of subject matter in classroom instruction.Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Experience implementing SDI in both general and special education environment.Familiarity with MTSS, PBIS and evidence-based interventions.Strong collaboration, communication and problem solving skills.Training in Sonday.Benefits:Employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision and basic life insurance, as administered by the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).
