Service Technician (Training Program)
CME Corp’s Biomedical Services Team is looking for a Service Technician to complete their year-long Biomedical Equipment Technician training program and start their career as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) to service the Southern New England area. Responsibilities:
Complete the 1-year Biomedical Technician Training program
Complete 320 hours of On-the-Job hands-on training
Obtain a Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology certificate through AAMI
Repair, install, maintain, calibrate and inspect a diverse range of therapeutic and diagnostic biomedical instrumentation
Complete all required paperwork on new equipment inspections and equipment repairs and failures accurately and on time
Properly maintain company issued equipment
Stay current with new products and new technologies in the biomedical industry
Communicate job status to management
100% field service comprised travel primarily throughout Southern New England and the Greater Boston service territories.
Requirements:
18 years or older
Good oral and written communication skills
High School diploma or GED
Demonstrates basic computer literacy (can navigate a user interface, basic working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel, etc.)
Demonstrates a mechanical/electrical aptitude
Must have flexible schedule as starting and ending times vary daily
Adaptable and able to respond to changing priorities while remaining focused on results
Physically able to fulfill job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs., using small tools and BMET equipment
Candidates must be based within reasonable commuting distance of the service area (Southern New England and Greater Boston area)
