Accessibility Transportation Manager
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and hands-on Accessibility Transportation Manager to lead our transportation team supporting adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This position is ideal for a human services professional who enjoys supervising staff, solving problems in real time, and ensuring individuals receive safe, reliable, and respectful transportation services.The Accessibility Transportation Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing drivers, dispatch operations, route coordination, and transportation logistics while helping maintain a positive and supportive team culture. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the I/DD or human services field and feel confident leading staff in a fast-paced environment.This role combines leadership, operations, staff coaching, and direct problem-solving to help ensure high-quality transportation services that support community access and inclusion.Hours:Morning Shift: 6:30am–11:30amAfternoon Shift: 2:00pm–5:00pmAdditional flexibility in scheduling may be available to support staff training, onboarding, and leadership responsibilities.What You’ll DoSupervise and support drivers and transportation dispatch staffCoordinate daily transportation routes and scheduling adjustmentsEnsure safe, timely, and efficient transportation servicesSupport individuals receiving services with dignity and respectProvide coaching, guidance, and ongoing support to transportation staffAssist with onboarding and training new driversHelp maintain compliance with DDS regulations and agency policiesMonitor vehicle maintenance, inspections, and transportation documentationRespond to transportation concerns and help resolve issues quicklyReview transportation systems and recommend operational improvementsCollaborate with leadership, families, and program teamsProvide dispatch coverage during scheduled hours as neededServe as an agency trainer in areas such as First Aid/CPR, Safety-Care, and other required trainingsPromote Positive Behavioral Supports and person-centered practices within transportation servicesQualificationsWe are looking for someone who has:Experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilitiesExperience supervising or leading staff teamsStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsThe ability to work independently and make sound decisionsExperience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of DDS regulations and transportation operations preferredExperience with scheduling, dispatching, or logistics preferredEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree requiredMinimum of 3 years of experience supporting individuals with I/DDMinimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experienceRequirementsValid driver’s license with acceptable driving recordAbility to pass CORI and fingerprinting background checksAbility to obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR and Safety-Care certificationsComfortable using Microsoft Office and transportation software systemsWhy Join Our Team?This is an opportunity to combine leadership, operations, and human services work in a meaningful role that directly impacts the daily lives of the individuals we support.
