Assistant Store DirectorThe Assistant Store Director (ASD) supports the Store Director in leading all store operations to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and associate engagement goals. This role assists in driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance with company policies, and developing leaders and associates while delivering an outstanding customer experience.Leadership & Associate DevelopmentSupport the Store Director in leading, coaching, and developing department leaders and associates.Reinforce company values, policies, and performance expectations through consistent leadership presence.Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.Operational ExecutionAssist in overseeing daily store operations to ensure consistent execution of company programs and procedures.Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and asset protection standards.Support execution of merchandising, inventory control, ordering, and backroom processes.Lead store operations or departments as assigned in the absence of the Store Director.Financial & Business PerformanceSupport achievement of sales, margin, labor, and expense goals.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assist in developing action plans to improve results.Help manage labor planning and productivity while maintaining service standards.Customer ExperienceMaintain a customer?focused sales floor by modeling excellent service behaviors.Address customer concerns promptly and escalate as appropriate to ensure resolution and satisfaction.Support initiatives that enhance customer loyalty and store appearance.Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure adherence to company policies, labor agreements (where applicable), and legal requirements.Assist with documentation related to safety, HR, and operational compliance.Partner with Asset Protection to reduce shrink and ensure store security.Partnership & CommunicationAct as a liaison between the Store Director, department leaders, and associates to ensure alignment.Support District and Corporate initiatives and ensure effective implementation at the store level.Communicate priorities, expectations, and performance feedback clearly and consistently.Albertsons Companies is at the forefront of the revolution in retail.
