Our client's technology is deployed in production across multiple countries, coordinating 200+ ton vehicles at scale, and the company is growing fast with over $1.7B recently raised.We're looking for a Robotics Planning Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join as one of the first planning engineers on the team. You'll have the rare opportunity to work across motion planning, coordination planning, and fleet planning, building systems that don't exist anywhere else in the industry.What You'll DoDevelop path planning and trajectory systems for autonomous haul trucks, ensuring smooth navigation around unmapped obstaclesDesign intersection management systems that compute optimal truck sequences to minimize site-wide wait timesBuild motion planning, coordination planning, and fleet planning systems, translating site-wide state into dynamic per-truck assignmentsImplement multi-agent coordination systems that prevent deadlocks and collisions while maximizing throughputWork closely with controls and systems engineers to validate planning algorithms in simulation and on real vehicles during live deploymentsWhat We're Looking For2+ years of experience in robotics planning, motion planning, or multi-agent coordination systemsStrong background in Python and C++Experience with tools like NumPy, SciPy, Shapely, or NumbaComfort working on production systems deployed on physical hardwareRole DetailsSalary: $145K–$175KLocation: San Francisco, CA (5 days on-site, SoMa)Full-timeCompetitive equityOpen to visa transfers (OPT, H1B transfers)Hiring 3 candidates for this role
