*Key Responsibilities*
* Manage and track the creation of the master grids for planners and calendars; ensure they are free from editorial errors, include the correct components, and are completed on schedule.
* Assign projects to freelance editors, monitor their deadlines, answer questions, and transfer their corrections and comments to internal proofs.
* Copyedit and proof planners, calendars, gift products, websites, sell sheets, catalogs, and other marketing materials.
* Proof factory PDFs, digital proofs, pre-production samples, and/or advances for all products, including reprints.
* Research possible trademark infringement issues on USPTO website during brainstorming, sell sheet, and production stages; work with managing editor to weigh risks; provide alternate choices; and manage and track results on spreadsheet.
* Coordinate and track artist samples for non-license dated products; liaise with artist, customer service representatives, and warehouse to ensure that artists receive contractual samples.
* Proofread marketing and sales materials as needed.
* Perform administrative and clerical duties as assigned.
*General Responsibilities *
* Follow editorial style guides, procedures, protocols, standards, and SOPs.
* Update editorial schedules and spreadsheets as needed.
* Help write pitches, product profile briefs, catalog and website copy as assigned.
* Research products and consumer trends in the gift/stationery and calendar/planner markets to identify product development opportunities.
* Keep up on trends and pop culture events and contribute proactively during brainstorms and product development meetings.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor’s degree
* Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
* Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with the team.
* Positive, flexible, and able to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced creative environment.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
