Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will provide patient care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring a safe and sterile environment for both patients and staff. Duties - Prepare operating rooms for surgery, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available - Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, monitoring vital signs, and providing direct patient care - Monitor patients post-operation, assessing their condition and coordinating with physicians on patient care plans - Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate medical records and documentation Contract Length: 8 Start Date: 9/23 Guaranteed Hours per Week: 40 hrs Primary Location: Aspirus Ironwood Hospital Shift Requirements: 4-10hr days. Variable start times, but normally 0700-1730. May have earlier start time of 0630, or potentially later of 0800 or 0900 dependent on cases. Float Requirements: N/A On Call/Call-Back: 1-2x per week from end of shift to 0700 the next day. Weekend/Holiday: occasional weekend call – Friday, Saturday and Sun through 0700 on Monday. No holiday shifts, but holiday call is required. Required Certifications: BLS (ARC or AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC) and MI RN license. Required Education: ADN or BSN Minimum Experience: 2+ years’ experience. Strong circulating experience. should feel comfortable in all perioperative areas – pre, post, OR and PACU in a small critical access facility- This is a HARD requirement, Critical access HIGHLY preferred. Charting/Equipment: NA - facility uses epic charting. Unit Specific: 3 ORs and 1 endoscopy room Required skills: ortho and general cases on call for ortho- Total knee, hip, shoulder, ORIFs, many hip fractures, I&Ds, General- lap appy, lap chole, lap hernia, EGD/ Colonoscopy, Lesion removals, lumpectomy, hemorrhoidectomy, OB/GYN- hysteroscopy, hysterectomy, lap salpingectomy, Eyes- cataract removal, podiatry- bunionectomy, urology- cystoscopy with stent, turps, Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates.
