Summer Driver HelperWage: $20.00Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, some weekend shiftsPosition Description:This position is responsible for unloading product, stocking shelves, and rotating productsin an assigned route. In addition, this position is responsible for the performance of all duties within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirementsEssential Functions:Stock shelves, coolers, and displays with products daily primarily at convenience storesAssist with unloading products from trailers, by hand or using hand cartsComply with proper product rotation standards for product freshness and qualityWork product in back rooms of stores and condense backstock each time in store to keep these areas clean at all timesPrepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and returnSecure, set, and move displays when requiredPlace proper point-of-sale materials on mail shelf, displays, and coolersFollow company and brewery merchandising standardsExhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the external customerRepresent the company in a professional and courteous mannerCompliance with all company safety guidelinesOther duties as assignedNon Essential Functions:Work efficiently and strive for growth within storesMay be asked to work on evenings and weekends for special eventsEssential Skills and Knowledge:Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing LLCEffectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervisionDevelop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control proceduresDemonstrate strong communication, customer relations, and problem resolution skillsWorking knowledge of Excel and Outlook and either entry-level (or ability to learn) MobilityAble to work with a diverse group of people and customersQualifications:Must be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GEDValid driver's licenseAbility to read and comprehend written instructions and informationWorking Conditions:Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities:Frequently lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-50 pounds, up to 165 pound kegs of beer; daily lifting of 20,000 to 40,000 or more pounds of productFrequently reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand cartsConstantly bend and twist while loading and unloading product, stocking coolers and shelves, and rotating backroom stock at customer locationsThe individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to should level, shoulder level to overhead. Must have ability to push/pull/lift a maximum of 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment. Requires significant demands on these physical requirements through entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions. The ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions is required.Temperature/ClimateThis position will spend 90% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment and 10% of the shift in an outdoor environment; may work in coolers with temperatures ranging from 32 degrees to 38 degrees.May work outside in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to: ice and extreme heatPersonal Protective Equipment necessarySteel-toed boots/shoes with skid-proof soles are requiredSafety ConsiderationsThis position will routinely use a two-wheeler and/or cart to transport product.Personal Protective Equipment NecessaryMay wear gloves when handling products.Visual/Hearing CapabilitiesThe visual ability necessary to read and interpret written information is required as well as the ability to differentiate product types. The hearing ability necessary to communicate with others is required. The individual must be able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with employees and customers on all levels of the organization and retail trade.
