Base Pay Range: $24.46 - $33.64/hr *Please note some career sites assign estimated compensation ranges that may not accurately reflect what is offered by Banner Engineering.
The Quality Control Inspector III inspects production parts using and programming the Visual Measuring Machine (VMM) and the Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and using various hand tools.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working individually, staying on top of tasks, and making a meaningful impact across teams and projects. Below are some key responsibilities of the role.
Retrieve CAD model(s), drawings, and specifications from databases
Import CAD model information into In Spec for use in developing inspection routines
Program the Zeiss CMM for touch probe/vision inspection routines, using Calypso software on both online and offline systems
Inspect parts for First Articles and production parts and export inspection results to QC Calc reporting software
Program the Micro Vu VMM for inspection routines
Inspect parts for First Articles and production parts using the VMM, CMM and various hand tools
Troubleshoot and update existing programs for revision changes and inspection improvements
Train other Inspectors on VMM and CMM using established programs
Train other Inspectors to program using In Spec software for the VMM
Develop fixtures to be used for general inspection or completion of FARs
Develop special VMM or CMM programs to assist with measurements requested by the production department
Communicate with Engineering teams regarding drawing updates and inspection methods and results
Other duties as assigned, including process/procedure documentation updates, inspection equipment maintenance, etc.
Create Non-Conforming Material Reports for discrepant material

Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications applying Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) as needed
3+ years of advanced programming experience in VMM and CMM software.
Ability to utilize inspection software for exporting inspection data
Ability to work under pressure for throughput while maintaining quality standards
Proficient with basic measurement tools such as calipers, pin gauges, micrometers, etc.
Ability to write efficient CMM and VMM programs with limited time and direction
General proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well with other Inspectors, Quality Control personnel, and Engineers
Associates degree in Electronics or Engineering or related
Certified Quality Inspector designation
7+ years of experience in a production facility
Training in Metrology (or equivalent)
