This role ensures the right parts are available at the right time while maintaining accurate inventory records, controlling costs, and supporting the maintenance team’s daily needs.Key ResponsibilitiesParts Ordering & ProcurementIdentify, source, and order maintenance parts, supplies, and equipment to support planned and unplanned maintenance activitiesCreate, track, and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of critical partsWork with approved vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate lead times, and resolve pricing or availability issuesEnsure parts meet equipment specifications and maintenance requirements before orderingInventory ManagementMaintain accurate inventory levels of MRO parts, tools, and consumablesMonitor usage trends and adjust minimum/maximum stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventoryReceive, inspect, label, and properly store incoming partsPerform regular cycle counts and annual physical inventories; investigate and resolve discrepanciesMaintenance SupportIssue parts to maintenance technicians, ensuring proper documentation and system entryCoordinate with maintenance planners and supervisors on upcoming work orders and required materialsIdentify obsolete, slow-moving, or critical spare parts and make recommendations for stocking strategiesSupport equipment reliability initiatives by ensuring critical spares are availableSystems & DocumentationMaintain part records, vendor information, and inventory transactions in purchasing systemsEnsure accurate part descriptions, part numbers, and equipment cross-referencesMaintain documentation for warranties, returns, and special ordersGenerate reports related to inventory levels, spend, and usage as neededCost Control & Continuous ImprovementAssist in controlling maintenance spend through efficient ordering and inventory practicesIdentify opportunities to standardize parts and reduce duplicationSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to storeroom organization, processes, and accuracyFollow all safety, quality, and company policies related to parts handling and storageRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or supply chain training preferred1–3 years of experience in maintenance storeroom, inventory, or parts procurementFamiliarity with mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance partsExperience using purchasing systems and basic purchasing processesBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software)Preferred Skills & CompetenciesStrong organizational and time-management skillsAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize and manage multiple orders simultaneouslyEffective communication with maintenance, vendors, and internal stakeholdersUnderstanding of inventory best practices (min/max levels, cycle counting, critical spares)Our ExpectationsWe Expect Our People To Be Guided By The Amcor Way And Demonstrate Our Values Every Day To Enable The Business To Win.
