Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – Job Description Position SummaryThe Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) provides high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups. The LPC is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. This role requires strong clinical judgment, ethical practice, and a commitment to supporting clients in achieving emotional wellness and personal growth. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and establish appropriate diagnosesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansProvide individual, group, couples, and/or family therapyUtilize evidence-based treatment modalities (e.g., CBT, solution-focused therapy, trauma-informed care)Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and insurance guidelinesMonitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as neededCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams and referral sourcesMaintain client confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and state regulationsParticipate in supervision, case consultations, and professional development activities QualificationsActive state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Master's degree in Counseling or a related mental health fieldKnowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis and treatment planningStrong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to manage caseload effectively and maintain documentation standardsExperience with electronic health records (EHR) preferred Preferred SkillsExperience working with diverse populationsTraining in trauma-informed careBilingual abilities (if applicable)Crisis intervention experience Work EnvironmentThis position may be based in a private practice, outpatient clinic, community mental health setting. Work may include in-person and/or telehealth services.
