Senior Chemist

Mackenzie Stuart is partnered with a specialty chemical manufacturer seeking a Coating Chemist to support their mold release product line.The role will focus on developing and improving coating formulations, supporting product scale-up, and helping drive manufacturing efficiency, cost savings, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Sales, and Manufacturing to troubleshoot issues, support product launches, and advance the product line through cross-functional collaboration.Responsibilities:Develop new coating formulations from concept through launchImprove existing products by evaluating performance, cost, and complianceSupport testing, stability analysis, and product scale-upPartner with cross-functional teams on product development and change controlInvestigate production issues and support root cause analysisMaintain laboratory methods, calibration processes, and technical recordsWork with commercial teams and customers to define product needs and specificationsQualifications:B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field5+ years in an industrial chemical manufacturing environment3+ years of formulation experience with silicone, epoxy, and/or hydrocarbon chemistriesExperience with coatings and oil-in-water emulsion systemsFamiliarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality systems preferredExperience with elastomer chemistry, GHS, or related regulatory requirements is a plusDue to the high number of applications, if you have not heard back within 14 days, please assume you have been unsuccessful.
