The University is "dedicated to the promotion of learning, building of character and preparation of promising students for positions of leadership and service."TITLE OF FACULTY POSITIONAdjunct FacultyTeach/Facilitate Medical-Surgical Didactic- Summer (May 26-July 17)Salary commensurate with qualifications and experienceJob description and duties:• Teach assigned courses in a manner that promotes academic excellence and student engagement.• Provide instruction in areas of professional and clinical expertise.• Evaluate student learning outcomes and provide constructive feedback.• Assist in maintaining records and documentation pertinent to the School of Nursing.• Uphold confidentiality regarding faculty, staff, and students in compliance with federal laws and university policies.• Maintain regular office hours and demonstrate reliable attendance.Qualifications:A Master of Science degree in Nursing is required; a Doctorate is preferred.At least 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience required, 3-5 years of nursing educator experience in a university, hospital, or professional practices department preferred.Requirements:Unencumbered licensure status as an RN in the state of Virginia or one of the Compact States.Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certified (CPR)To Apply:A review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
