Linux System Engineer

Pay Rate - $60-70/HrLocation: Plano, TX/HybridLinux System EngineerExperience Required 10+ YrsResponsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning.Handle incident, problem, and change management activities.Ensure system availability, reliability, and security.Apply patches and upgrades to operating systems and system components.Troubleshoot system, network, filesystem, and application issues.Manage user access, file systems, permissions, and security policies.Work closely with application, database, network, and cloud teams.Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting and Python.Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.Required Skills:Linux system administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE)System monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planningIncident, problem, and change managementOS patching and upgrade managementTroubleshooting (system, network, filesystem, application)User access management and security policiesShell scripting and Python automationCross-team collaboration (application, database, network, cloud teams)Documentation, SOPs, and runbook managementSkills: Operating Systems ~ System Z - z/LinuxDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
