Linux Systems AdminKilleen, TX – Onsite 5 days per weekFull-Time/Direct HireSalary: Up to $93k, depending on experiencePosition SummaryThe Linux Systems Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Linux-based systems and related infrastructure. This role ensures system reliability, security, and performance while supporting modern DevOps practices, including containerization, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate has strong technical aptitude, is self-driven, and can independently research and resolve complex issues while effectively communicating with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, and maintain Red Hat systems and associated infrastructureSupport system upgrades, patching schedules, and ongoing maintenance activitiesEnsure compliance with security standards, system hardening practices, and company policiesMonitor system performance and availability using logging and monitoring toolsTroubleshoot and resolve system, application, and infrastructure issues across Linux, Windows, and web environmentsAdminister and support containerized environments (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)Assist in the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and automation workflowsImplement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform and AnsibleCollaborate with development and operations teams to support deployment and system integration effortsMaintain documentation for systems, processes, and proceduresManage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environmentQualifications2–4 years of experience in systems administration and Red HatBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience)Hands-on experience with Linux systems administration and Windows (required)Technical SkillsOperating Systems: Linux (Red Hat), WindowsContainerization: OpenShift, Kubernetes, DockerDevOps & CI/CD: Git, CI/CD pipelines, automation practicesInfrastructure as Code: Terraform, AnsibleMonitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, SplunkSecurity: Web application security fundamentals, vulnerability awareness, patch management, and system hardeningCertifications (Preferred)RHCSA or RHCEMCSECKA or CKADOpenShift Certification
