Job SummaryThe Marketing and Communications Department at the Darla Moore School of Business invites applications for a full-time director position. The Director of Marketing and Communications has direct responsibility for strategic marketing and communications at the Darla Moore School of Business (DMSB). The Director is responsible for development and delivery of overall DMSB marketing and communications message(s) across multiple channels and tactics, engaging with DMSB stakeholders and University of South Carolina marketing and communications professionals, as well as external marketing service providers.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate internally with the Dean's Office, DMSB Graduate Division, Career Management, Alumni Engagement, Development, and centers, and with faculty and staff.Build the Moore School brand by managing external agency and leading in-house work, supporting development of print, digital, and multimedia campaigns and materials that convey the DMSB brand while adhering to USC brand standards.Ensure brand compliance and quality control of all print and digital media, paid digital advertising, email marketing, organic social media, and the school website.Oversee and manage the DMSB marketing and communications staff, including timely completion of EPMS reviews.Manage the DMSB marketing and communications budget and oversee the contract approval process for marketing-related contracts, including media buying.Serve as a liaison between DMSB and central USC Communications and Marketing Office; manage media relations, emergency communications, and policy development with the Dean's Office.Provide oversight for communication of the school's accomplishments through DMSB publications (Annual Report, Moore Magazine), website, and social media channels.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of related experience.Master's degree and 10+ years of professional experience in marketing and marketing-department leadership in industry and/or academic settings preferred.Client relations experience and ability to collaborate with diverse internal clients with high accountability.Strong project and marketing process management skills, ability to prioritize across multiple high-profile initiatives.Ability to assess capabilities and build effective marketing and communication programs across organizational levels.Leadership experience building, motivating, and leading teams toward marketing objectives and professional growth.Proficiency in translating customer insights into actionable strategies that drive student and prospective student engagement.Strong knowledge of current marketing and communications strategies, technology tools, and brand management.Expertise developing integrated, multi-channel campaigns including PPC, social media, content, AI search marketing, and email marketing.Record of working with senior leaders to identify and execute brand-building initiatives that deliver organizational success.Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills for managing projects from concept to completion.EEO StatementThe University of South Carolina does not discriminate in educational or employment opportunities or decisions for qualified persons on the basis of age, ancestry, citizenship status, color, disability, ethnicity, familial status, gender (including transgender), gender identity or expression, genetic information, HIV/AIDS status, military status, national origin, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other bases under federal, state, local law, or regulations.J-18808-Ljbffr
