Daily responsibilities will vary with the needs of the hotel and may include but are not limited to stocking housekeeping carts, collecting and running laundry to and from housekeeping, contributing to the overall cleanliness of the hotel as well as completing any daily special tasks.ResponsibilitiesVacuum stairs and wipe down all railingsSweep and hose down all outside hallways and sidewalksClean all glass exit doorsSweep, mop and organize storage areas. Keep storage area doors closed at all timesClean out all outside light fixtures, keep free from bugsKeep all housekeeping carts free from dirty linen and trash and full of clean linen and suppliesProperly store and deliver all supplies to and from storage areasKeep hallways free of cribs, roll-a-ways, irons, boards, dishes, trash etc. and reports room numbers of all borrowed items retrieved to the housekeeping officeMake any requested deliveriesSort dirty linen in laundry.Clean mop carts and equipmentHelp on any special request made by a guest or managerWork on special requests assigned such as clean car ports, scrub floor, deep cleaning etcEmpty all trash and clean houseman cart at the end of the shiftAlways check with supervisor or manager on duty before going home to make sure that all job duties are completeFollow all the safety rules and proceduresBe aware of the proper use of chemicalsMaintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform and personRespond quickly and courteously to guests' questions and requestsKnow and adhere to hotel/franchise and ZMC Hotels standardsThe houseman is expected to treat guest and employees with courtesy and respect, greets and smiles to everyone at the hotel and cooperates with all other departmentsAlways wear a name badgeNecessary SkillsHave a valid driver's licenseMust have an outgoing personalityMust be able to work a flexible scheduleMust be honest and work well with othersPhysical RequirementsMust be able to stand/walk on feet for up to 8hrsMust be able to handle heat and stressMust be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull and stretchMust be able to lift at least 50lbsMust be comfortable using step stool or ladderMust have clear vision for close cleaning or written tasksMust have clear vision for distance up to 25ft.Must have good finger dexterity for folding, cleaning and writingMust be able to use/lift arms for up to 8hrCompensation: $15.00 per hourWe provide the best in hospitality - to our employees and our guests.
