Civil/Geotechnical Engineer - Atlanta, GA

Job Title: Civil/Geotechnical EngineerWork Location: Atlanta, GASalary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interviewDuties/Responsibilities:Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging boringsPerform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testingAssist in developing a variety of layouts, drawings and designsWork under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team memberWorking knowledge of AutoCAD and Slope Stability AnalysisEducation/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering1-3 years' experience with Geotechnical engineer knowledgeAbility and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members where needed.Experience and skill in application of CAD software, specifically Civil 3D and associated civil software packages are highly desirable.Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external partners including clients, sub consultants, and utility companiesMust have a valid driver's license and be insurablePhysical Requirements:Physically mobile in and around construction sites and field assignmentsAbility to carry required instruments and equipmentAbility to lift 50 poundsThe worker is subject to variable climate and environmental conditions including but not limited to extreme cold and heat.
