Implementation Engineer – Developer Build & Productivity PlatformA high‑growth developer tooling company is hiring an Implementation Engineer to support engineering teams adopting a cloud‑based build and test acceleration platform. This role is well suited to engineers with strong Bazel, Buck or Buck2 experience who enjoy working directly with customers, solving complex build challenges and improving developer productivity at scale.The organisation works with customers ranging from fast‑growing startups to large enterprises, helping them significantly reduce build times and improve software quality.About the RoleYou will act as the trusted technical voice for customers throughout trials, onboarding and ongoing use, helping engineering teams integrate, optimise and scale their build workflows. Working closely with internal Engineering and Product teams, you will improve customer outcomes and ensure a high‑quality experience, operating within a remote‑first, distributed team aligned to the Pacific Time Zone.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary technical point of contact for trial, new and existing customersSupport customer onboarding within complex build and development environmentsTroubleshoot and resolve advanced Bazel, Buck or Buck2 and build‑infrastructure issuesHelp customers optimise build performance, reliability and developer experiencePartner with Engineering to surface bugs, regressions and product feedbackCreate and maintain clear internal and customer‑facing technical documentationEngage with developers via Slack, GitHub, forums and eventsContribute to automation, tooling improvements and operational excellenceSkills and Experience3+ years’ experience in software engineering, SRE, technical support or developer‑facing rolesStrong, hands‑on experience with Bazel, Buck or Buck2 (essential)Solid understanding of modern developer workflows and build systemsProficiency in at least one programming language (Go, C++, Java, Python, Rust or JavaScript)Comfortable working in Linux or Unix environmentsExperience with Docker, Terraform and/or KubernetesFamiliarity with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure)Strong written and verbal communication skillsCustomer‑centric mindset with a passion for solving complex technical problemsLocation and Working ModelSan Francisco or fully remote within the Pacific Time ZoneOccasional travel for team meet‑ups and company eventsWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary with equity participationComprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits401k or pension contributionGenerous vacation allowance and parental leaveFully remote working with Pacific Time Zone alignmentRegular global team offsites and company eventsCollaborative, inclusive culture with a strong focus on engineering qualityWe will process your CV and personal information to assess your suitability for the role.
