Job DescriptionWe’re on the hunt for a Staff Accountant with a proven track record. Basepoint Tax & Accounting specializes in tax and payroll services. We are affiliated with Basepoint Wealth, a registered investment advisor. To do this job well, you need to be highly organized, comfortable with solving problems, communicate well with your peers, and strive to go above and beyond.As a member of our team, you’ll focus primarily on supporting the client relationship through tax planning and preparation; payroll processing and tax filings, financial statement preparation, and managing data. You should have an understanding of how to find answers to complex tax issues.Key Job Functions:Tax return preparation and reviewAssist in financial reportingTax research and planningConsulting on financial and tax mattersKeep client files organized and updatedWork to build trusting client relationshipsImportant skills to thrive in this position:Good communicator with great people skillsTrack workload closely, with obsessive attention to detailEnjoy a fast-paced environment with challenging workManage a large number of open requests at once and have the flexibility to manage shifting prioritiesTeam oriented, but can also work independentlyBe comfortable with cloud-based applications, e-signatures, and learning new softwareHave a thirst for knowledge - we are constantly challenging ourselves to be better on a professional and a personal level.
