This role focuses on evaluating current production methods, implementing process improvements, and providing technical support to manufacturing operations. The production engineer will collaborate with production, engineering, sales, purchasing, and external vendors to ensure production objectives are met. Job Duties and Responsibilities:Essential FunctionsDesign and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and machines. Conduct computer-aided design (CAD) modeling and drafting to evaluate mechanical systems and components. Perform calculations on material stress, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and other key mechanical engineering principles. Documenting and implementing changes processes to improve manufacturing time and cost. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure project goals are met. Prepare technical documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports. Visiting production bays to observe processes and make necessary modifications. Partnering with engineering and production to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Provide technical support for manufacturing processes, including troubleshooting and problem-solving. Comply with all safety guidelines and regulations. Complete additional training as assigned by Supervisor or Risk Management. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science. Proficiency in CAD software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
