This is a remote role, but we will meet up 1x per month with the engineering team, 1-3x per year for customer visits, and 1x per year for company summits. Our application is seeing growing adoption, and we are expanding the team to add someone who can help improve its core vision pipeline for growth and add new intelligent features and functionality. Some of these projects will be from the ground up and some will be integrated into our existing application. We have a strong foundation that we're building on top of and are looking for an engineer excited to move fast and deliver features we have currently planned out. This is ideal for someone who likes fine-tuning image processing systems, optimizing models, and building out new visual functionality. In this role, you will be manipulating pixel data directly, shaping scalable backend systems for processing, and building efficient vision-driven components. What You'll Be DoingBuilding modern visual interfaces and processing pipelines with Python, C++, or TypeScriptWorking directly with image/video streams, canvas rendering, and manipulation of visual data structuresDesigning and optimizing databases, media caching, and backend services to handle heavy visual data loadsDeploying cloud-native ML and vision features using Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Contributing to real-time image analysis, object tracking, and data visualization toolsWhat We’re Looking For3+ years of software engineering experienceStrong fundamentals in image processing, computer vision algorithms, and core programming languagesExperience with backend services and building APIs to serve vision modelsFamiliarity with GCP or other cloud platforms for model deployment or storageUnderstanding of performance tuning at both the inference layer (browser/device) and the database layerBonus points if you’ve worked with OpenCV, WebGL/Three.js, specialized ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), or large-scale data rendering challengesCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive healthcare, compensation, and equitySalary: $80,000 - $90,000
