Drivers are responsible for operating and maintaining their truck in a safe and efficient manner. Work is fast paced and involves a lot of driving, labor, and effective communication with dispatch and site crews.Primary Responsibilities:Safely operate Redi Mix truck to haul and deliver concrete to residential and commercial construction sitesEnsure the load is accurate, properly mixed, and the correct consistencyProvide courteous, professional, and customer-focused service while representing the company at all job sites and customer locationsPerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections with appropriate documentationPerforms day-to-day maintenance and washouts on vehicle (wash, grease, oil, fuel, coolant)Completes and submits all required paperwork correctly and in a timely mannerFollow directions from the dispatcher and job site foremanCommunicate effectively with the crew on the job site, dispatchers, customers, and coworkersMay collect payment from customers (cash or check); ensure accurate documentation of all transactions and timely submission of paymentsFollow all local, state, federal, and DOT regulations and company safety rulesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized truckOperates various hand tools and performs medium to heavy manual laborAssist with yard or shop tasks when neededPerform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the needs of the organizationPosition RequirementsQualifications:Education: High School Diploma or GEDExperience: Experience driving a commercial motor vehicle is preferred but not requiredDriver's License: Valid Class A or B CDL with Air BrakesCurrent Fed Med card is requiredDependable and safety focusedAble to work overtime as requiredPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Lifting up to 50-75lbsFrequent climbing, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs and laddersSitting and driving for long periods of timeWashing out mixer drum (hosing, shoveling, scraping, etc.)Working in all types of weather (heat, cold, rain, dust, noise)Exposure to noise, dust, concrete materialsEqual Opportunity Employer
