Your Role With Us: Salem Health is seeking a motivated, self-driven, robust communicator to fill the newly created role of Clinic Onboarding & Expansion Manager. Top candidates will exhibit a highly positive attitude with the capacity to conduct difficult conversations professionally and with ease, will have strong understanding of project management with proven ability to follow-through with loosely defined tasks autonomously, and will demonstrate the integrity necessary to hold information in the highest of confidence. This role will serve as the face of Salem Health through the clinic onboarding and expansion process, and requires an individual who both embraces change and has a track record of bringing others along as a change agent. In building strong working relationships with a wide variety of key stakeholders, this Manager will merge culture with process to create a seamless clinic onboarding/expansion experience. Responsible for assuming the role of an operational Clinic Manager and/or providing support, mentoring and guidance to an onboarding practice Manager to meet key performance metrics within the onboarding/transition period. Participates in planning sessions for expanding an existing service, onboarding a community practice, or implementing a new outpatient service. Responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks per project management plan. Maintains Manager Book of Knowledge for onboarding/expansion for completion of pre-transition, transition and post-transition responsibilities. Collaborates with Director, SHMG executive team and key stakeholders to develop transitional key performance indicators for the clinic/service. Assumes the role of the SHMG Clinic Manager during the transition period and/or coaches, mentors, and supports the existing manager in understanding key deliverables of the clinic manager role to include identification & visibility of transition KPIs, participation in planning, developing and evaluating unit-level strategic direction in concert with Medical Director(s) and SHMG leadership, implementing fundamentals of Lean & Regulatory systems, development of quality and financial tools to close high-risk gaps, and implementation of standards and policies that align with Salem Health expectations. Makes progress toward transition KPIs visible and works to create a transition plan to operational leadership team as KPIs are achieved. The Onboarding & Expansion Manager role may include all components of the Clinic Manager III role during the onboarding period: 1. Administration/Operations: Oversee 24/7 day to day operations within the assigned departments, including managing schedules, daily staffing, patient access, continuity, clinic flow, performance management, patient safety, recruitment/onboarding, financial performance and compliance and accreditation readiness. Problem-solve issues relating to patient safety, care and service. Promote effective working relationships and team building to facilitate each clinic meeting its goals and objectives. Collaborate with the leadership team and physician leaders to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives. Support staff and provider engagement toward positive patient satisfaction outcomes. Assist with Human Resource management functions including interviewing, selection, onboarding, education/training, feedback, performance evaluation, and policy and procedure development. Maintain and monitors timesheet records for employees. Promote a welcoming and healthy working environment by maintaining adequate office staffing levels and physician coverage in collaboration with Medical Directors. Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements through development and implementation of documented clinic policies and procedures. 2. Quality Improvement: Collaborates and supports quality improvement efforts with providers and staff to adjust and shape program design elements. Create dialog with providers, supervisors, and staff to ensure process improvement; understanding of processes and systems; and to collaborate on opportunities. 3. Staff Management & Lean: Leads and directs staff assigned in the day-to-day operations. Responsible for lean activities and outcomes for self and team. Drives our lean culture in word, action, and outcome. 4. Physician Relations: Build strong partnerships with clinic physician leadership and dyad partners. Collaborate with medical directors around shift management, productivity, and clinic financials. Experience: Minimum of two years leadership experience required. 3-5 years of outpatient clinic management experience preferred. Special knowledge, skills, &abilities: High level of emotional intelligence and business acumen to support change management. Leader enthusiasm to create an exceptional experience during transitional periods. Effective verbal and written communication skills with diverse audiences. Expertise in mentoring and training essential clinic management practices to drive outcomes. Experience with implementation standards and laws applicable to outpatient clinical practice. Advanced analytical skills to define and assess clinic metrics. Leadership experience in a complex healthcare organization with significant physician management expertise. Understanding of healthcare billing, coding and managed care. Understanding of provider employment and compensation models that drive productivity and performance.
