Technical Sales Engineer
SUMMARYROHM Semiconductor has an immediate career opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer. This is a highly visible position that will develop business plans, product strategy, and roadmaps for assigned customers and/or markets. The role requires a strategic mindset that can work across all levels within large organizations. This position requires interaction with customers, sales, engineering, technical center, and marketing.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily to include but not limited to:Manage automotive accounts providing premium customer serviceDrive semiconductor growth in the automotive segmentAchieve design wins at large automotive clientsIdentify customers' technical needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and servicesManage sales revenue, forecast, and profit margins of strategic automotive accountsEstablish, develop, and maintain close working relationships at new and existing customersNegotiate significant annual and long-term agreements with multi-national corporationsDevelop account strategies and execute with team members to achieve long-term goalsDiagnose client issues and offer creative semiconductor solutionsSuccinctly present ROHM's analog and power semiconductors to key design engineersConsult with engineers, architects, and other technical professional personnelPrepare and generate sales engineering reports; collect, analyze, and summarize sales data and engineering and application trendsPrimary travel is regional, travel up to about 30% (domestic and international) QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Training:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, electronics, or similar industry discipline. MSEE and or MBA is highly desirable.A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experienceBackground and Knowledge of:Automotive application and electronics knowledge of ADAS, electrification, infotainment, and body electronicsElectronics Distribution industry experience is a plusDemonstrated understanding the market challenges and industry business processes and product lines, market segments, and applicationsSuccessful experience in customer and team relationshipsStrong computer proficiency and abilities, especially MS Office Suite (Excel, Pivot Tables) and Salesforce (CLV), Power BI, or similar CRM/ERP systems.
