Financial Manager (Cleveland, TN)

JOB TITLE: Financial Manager / Tri-State Warehouse (Cleveland, TN) Classification Exempt Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range TBD- (Based on Experience) Reports to Chief Operating Officer Summary/Objective Tri-State Warehouse is seeking an experienced accountant to perform and oversee our financial operations and ensure precise financial reporting. The ideal candidate will handle all accounting tasks, prepare financial statements, and offer strategic financial insights to help achieve our business goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. All accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and maintaining the general ledger Serve on the leadership team Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Research technical accounting issues for compliance Perform month-end and year-end closing processes Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Provide financial analysis and forecasting to guide strategic decisions Work closely with external independent accountants and financial institutions to ensure accurate quarterly and year-end financial reporting and compliance Other duties or special projects as assigned by leadership Qualifications and Skills Proven work experience as a Controller or Financial Manager Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Active CPA license preferred Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and procedures Experience with creating and interpreting financial statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end and year-end closing processes Proficient with QuickBooks or similar accounting software Excellent administrative skills Strategic planning Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to interact in a courteous, professional, and considerate manner with all company employees and customers About Our Company With roots dating back to 1978, Tri-State Warehouse (TSW) is a leader in the Storage, Logistics and Transportation industry located in Southeast Tennessee.
