Job Title: Head Lead, Campus Store Department: Campus StoreReports to: Interim CFO Effective Date: 5/9/26# of Direct Reports: 0 # of People Supported: 1Job DescriptionThe Campus Store Head Lead serves as the student leader and primary support to store operations, acting as a key driver of business success within the Ville'age Campus Store. This role blends frontline customer service with leadership, operational oversight, and an entrepreneurial mindset to ensure the store is the #1 destination on campus for all things Manhattanville.This position is ideal for a motivated, dependable student who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and is eager to develop leadership, business, and customer engagement skills.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversees the daily workflow of the department.Duties/ResponsibilitiesBusiness & Store LeadershipSupport the administration and staff members in execution of daily retail tasks to drive sales, profitability and an accurate inventoryMaintain awareness of campus trends, customer preferences, and seasonal business needsAct as a brand ambassador, ensuring the store reflects Manhattanville pride and identityCustomer Experience & ServiceDeliver exceptional customer service by actively engaging customers in a friendly, professional mannerAccurately complete all monetary transactions using POS systems such as Lightspeed and EcwidAnticipate customer needs and proactively help or product recommendationsCreate a welcoming, inclusive, and service-driven store environmentPeople & Team LeadershipLead by example in professionalism, teamwork, and accountabilitySupport onboarding and peer training of student employeesFoster a culture of growth, collaboration, and open feedback with campus administrationAssist in coordinating team efforts during high-traffic events and peak business periodsOperations & MerchandisingPerform opening and closing duties, ensuring operational readinessMaintain inventory accuracy through restocking, merchandising, and organizationEnsure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all timesSupport execution of visual merchandising standards and promotional displaysAssist with scheduling needs and shift coverage when appropriateUtilize basic sales data to support deposit and change requests change as needed to operateExecuting Annual Inventory in JuneCampus Engagement & EventsSupport campus-wide events (Orientation, Admissions, Board Meetings, etc.) through extended hours and event preparationCollaborate with campus partners to align store hours for special eventsRequired Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
