General Summary:Plans, governs, and measures IT success using flexibility, transparency, and value conversations to shape the business demand to optimize and transform Dollar General. Directing all planning activities for the PMO including project management planning, delivery coordination & administration, program management, IT Portfolio Reporting & Management. Thus, orchestrating enterprise-wide business efforts, coordination, communication, oversight, risk mitigation.Duties & Responsibilities:Govern & MeasureProvide overall project leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of a given initiativeCollaborate and coordinate across the global IT organization to support implementations which drive objective decision making, maintains business partnerships and service-oriented views ensuring IT and Business strategies are in alignment with DG expectations, strategic & operating priorities.Ensure appropriate compliance & governance controls are in place for policy and protection of any sensitive dataFacilitates change management, governance process, champion organizational change, and enforces compliance to changes throughout the enterpriseDevelops and disseminates key project-related communicationsMaintain Strategic alignment by engaging in the right projects/initiatives, and controlling changing priorities of demandTrack key performance indicators, analyzing, benchmarking, and consolidated reporting for Key Performance IndicatorsConsolidate project/initiatives and portfolio performance metrics from across the organization into varying viewsDevelop, produce, and Coordinates written materials and presentations for Executive, Board-level, and IT Leadership strategic reportingPortfolio ManagementEstablishes strategy, vision, and goals for enterprise-wide adoption, working collaboratively with portfolio ownersDetermine strategy and outline dependencies for strategic roadmaps and ensure optimum support for strategic initiatives, portfolios, programs, and day-to-day operational activitiesProvide varying views and analysis into initiatives, portfolio, and programs (health checks, scorecards, at-a-glance, retrospectives)Champion Change Leadership as a driving force and visionary creating processes that support large-scale transformationEstablish and enforce initiatives, portfolio, and programs change management providing transparency and proper prioritizationAdministrative & Team DevelopmentProvide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines across the enterprise common to a rapidly growing company focused on IT delivery and Product Framework synergiesProactively set performance expectations and help project team members manage expectations of delivery and requirementsLeads, mentors, and develops enterprise-wide teamsIT Coordination & representation for companywide committees, action teams, professional networks, and resource groups and varying programsPMO Center of ExcellenceLead, develop and provide standards, methodologies, and knowledge for teams to leverage to effectively meet organizational business objectivesProvide training and development and enable engagement based on identified interaction points and adoption strategies to enable organizational growthProvide effective metric setting, ongoing monitoring of Project Management effectiveness & consistency, guidance, governance, and standard operating proceduresKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Demonstrable leadership skills: consultative supervision, ability to influence others, ability to manage all levels of the organizationAbility to effectively implement the Standard Operating Procedures and the Technology Governance Process to achieve strategic objectivesAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form; good listening skillsAbility to organize, prioritize, delegate, and follow up, with emphases on adherence to deadlinesComfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently in a fast- paced environmentAbility facilitates identification of alternate solutions; resolve conflicts; and create lasting, productive partnerships enterprise wide, identify trends and make recommendations for improvementsAbility to organize, prioritize, and to be a self-starter in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills, understand how decisions affect other areas of the companyCreative ability to analyze information from different sources and create presentationsAbility to thoroughly understand how decisions affect other areas of the companyComfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently in a fast- paced environmentExtensive knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Tracking Tools, SDLC Development Management, & Agile Methodologies.Work Experience and/or Education:10 years minimum experience in IT requiredRetail experience requiredBachelor’s degree requiredPMP requiredCSM preferred
