Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their service requests.
Explain repair and maintenance options clearly, providing professional auto estimating and service writing.
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, including oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, alignment, tire service, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
Upsell additional services and maintenance based on customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity.
Manage cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently during transactions.
Keep detailed records of vehicle repairs, service history, and parts used to ensure quality control and accountability.
Foster excellent customer relationships through proactive communication about vehicle status and recommended future services.
Meet requirements of the state and federal law for automobile repair and consumer protection.
Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company’s Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and vendors.
Administer new and used vehicle warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer warranty guidelines.
Confirm service appointments by telephone the day before the customer is scheduled to arrive and conduct post-repair follow up.
Skills
Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and automotive diagnostics.
Extensive mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, and oil changes.
Skilled in automotive repair processes such as auto estimating, service writing, and vehicle maintenance planning.
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to upsell effectively while maintaining trust.
Familiarity with mechanic experience or automotive technician background enhances understanding of technical issues.
Strong sales abilities with experience in automobile sales preferred.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage administrative tasks efficiently. Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma
Driver's license
Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite
Excellent communications skills
