SBM Process Engineer

Join the Logoplaste Team!Logoplaste is seeking to recruit an SBM Process Engineer, to join the plant team in Wilkes-Barre, PA (USA).Key Tasks & Activities...Set up, repair and troubleshoot equipment, ancillary equipment and support equipment.Make required mold changes/process adjustments and complete color changes.Supervise the quality of product in the plant, ensuring that processes and controls produce preforms to the specifications.Analyse quality and SPC information to ensure robustness of quality systems.Analyse downtime, scrap and cycle time data and prioritize improvement activities accordingly to positively affect the KPI’s.Complete preventative maintenance requirements in coordination with the Maintenance Team.Assist in the training and supervision of the mold change team.Analyse mold change efficiencies and time using KPI’s to track and gauge performance.Manage mold and hot runner spare parts and maintain PM program.Train and document training for employees to ensure they are able to do their job with success.Promote continuous improvement, through the use of improvement tools including SMED, 5S, Kaizen problem solving, etc.Participate in the safety processes of the plant.Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well as maintain good housekeeping and GMP practices/Global Food Safety practices.Other duties as assigned by manager.On call positionEnsure all PM’s schedules are up to date and completed - actively participates in SAP-PM/5SVerification that all maintenance and calibration programs are up to dateAssist maintenance staff in diagnosing the nature of specific problems involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.Background and Experience3-5 years manufacturing experience in plastics technology or a similar technical area; Recognized certification or education in related field preferredStrong knowledge of HDPE, PETStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsMust be able to work flexible hours to complete necessary changes and provide support for processing on all shiftsPrevious supervisory experience requiredGood communication and team building skillsGood working knowledge of computer systems, including MS Office and SAPAbility to effectively communicate technical system issuesExperience with lean manufacturing processesAbility to work in a fast pace, lean environment with heat above 90 degreesAbility to sit, climb, stand, bend, crawl and walk on a varying basis throughout the assigned work scheduleAbility to carry and/or maneuver up to 50 poundsAbility to clearly communicate technical system issuesStrong mechanical maintenance experience and strong knowledge hand and power toolsDemonstrated understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systemsGood “hands on” working approachAble to work independently, identify problems and improveAble to work flexible and/or extended hours and weekends as business demandsLogoplaste offers an excellent benefits package with genuine career development opportunities.Follow us on LinkedIn!Logoplaste is an equal opportunities employer, where the foundation of our culture and our drive is based on Diversity & Inclusion.
