Agricultural Field Service Technician

Company vehicle will be provided to drive from trial locations to Acampo facility. Must have valid drivers license and clean record. Degree is preferred but are willing to accept someone with high school diploma. Will need to work in high heat pulling tomato fruit samples in the field during the summer. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.- Pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in agriculturally related field, preferably Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, or Weed Science Experience with experimental designs and/or small plot research desired. Experience operating agricultural equipment Responsibilities: The position will assist in research and development activities at a research site and off site. Efforts will be focused primarily on small plot field research in various agricultural systems focused on processing tomatoes in California's central valley. Specific responsibilities will include :Data collection- Local travel may be required. Field Sampling of fruit and delivery to the laboratory (off site). Trial Planting and maintenance. The position will assist in research and development activities at a research site and report to the local Product Development Specialist.
